My Favourite Things

Today I broke a hallowed bond,

Of life and meaning,

Of strength and bearing.

All good in me, if it ever existed,

Has vanished in an instance,

Leaving behind a shattered, selfish, soulless substinence.

Oh Lord, I implore you

May this black day haunt me forever and ever,

May I never rise or recover.
